  • Welcome

I want to extend a very warm welcome to the Primary department at Marjory Kinnon School. We are proud to provide a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive environment for children aged 5 to 11 with autism and a range of learning needs.

Our dedicated and talented staff team is committed to helping every child thrive, building their confidence, communication skills, and independence through a personalised and supportive approach to learning.

Our Primary Department consists of 15 classes, including 6 KS1 classes and 9 KS2 classes. Each class has between 8 and 10 pupils, ensuring that every child receives the individual support and attention they need to grow and succeed.

Every class is led by a skilled teacher and supported by at least two teaching assistants, creating a warm and structured learning space where children feel safe, happy and valued.

We follow the National Curriculum, carefully adapting and differentiating it to meet the unique needs of our pupils. Our focus is not just on academic growth but also on developing essential life skills, communication and social skills, and independence.

At Marjory Kinnon, we deeply value the partnership between home and school, and we are always here to support you and your child on their learning journey.

We look forward to working together and celebrating the achievements of every child in our school community.

    Mr A. Van Dyk
    Head of Primary Years
