Over recent months, we've been sharing our Makaton Sign of the Week videos on Instagram, and we're now bringing them together in one easy-to-find place on our website.

The new page features videos demonstrating the 50 Core Makaton Signs, giving parents and carers the opportunity to watch, practise and learn at home, whenever it suits them.

Makaton is an important part of communication at MKS. Using signs alongside speech can help children understand language, express their needs and share their thoughts and feelings. Learning a few signs can also be a lovely way for families to support communication and connect with their children.

Whether you're new to Makaton or looking to build on signs you already know, we hope you'll find the videos helpful.
